Ultrasound
Babies with any of a range of respiratory conditions need to have slightly pressurized air supplied through- out the breathing cycle. Nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP ) is a means of providing this air through the nose of the baby. NCPAP is widely used as more comfortable alternative to relatively invasive therapies, incubation and mechanical ventilation. It is suitable even for very low birth weight infants.
